NFL Week 4

Ladies and Gentleman,
I Have decided I am going to try a new thing once a week on here. I am going to go through game by game each week and make my picks with the spread... I have done quite well this year with my picks so I decided I will share them with the public... If my hot streak comes to an end I will most likely stop with the picks but for now I plan on doing this for the rest of the year..
Depending the game I may give my pick and some reasoning as to why I picked it.. or i may just simple state my pick... It will all depend on how i feel about the game and how much i feel like typing at that exact time...
I will also be using the lines used by Proline's Pointspread as they were the day i made my pics..

Week 4.

DET @ CHI (-10.5)
Detroit is coming off a victory for the first time in a long time, maybe with some extra confidence... Detroit was able to put a few long drives together which takes time off the clock.. This game really could be a blow out, but i Just dont like the Bears and their receiving core.. I am going to hope the Lions can keep it close..
DET + 10.5

TB @ WASH (-7)
I mentioned the Lions coming off a win for the first time in what seems like forever, and the team they beat is still favored by a TD the next week?, and I still think I am going to take them to cover.. I find games like these are the hardest to pick. I will most likely leave this game off my tickets this weekend, but in having to choose one I am going to take a team that needs to show their home fans they can turn things around..
WASH - 7

OAK @ HOU (-9.5)
How bad is this Oakland team, a team that i seem to pick every freakin week... Houston does have one of the worst rush defences in the leauge which will have the Raiders licking their lips.. this mean J Russell wont have to throw the ball, fuck he blows, who cares if you can throw it 60 yards from your knees... Sorry Raiders, not this week...
HOU -9.5

TEN (-3.5) @ JAC
MOJO is a beast, i have never really liked him but watching some of the things he did last week i cant deny that he is a great back... Tenn has been a huge let down this year, one in which i can say i saw coming but why brag.. i see a close well faught game so i will take the extra .5 in what could easily be a FG game...
JAC +3.5

BAL @ NE (1.5)
In this pick em, i would actually love for New England to win to keep Pitt closer to the Ravens.. Yes all my opinions will be biased.. I still dont know what to think about Pretty Boy Brady.... NE wont be able to run the ball to set up the pass this week.. I just think Btown gets it done...
BAL + 1.5

NYG (-10.5) @ KC
New York is DAMM good, KC is not, this spread could be 20 and i wouldnt be able to figure out a way not to pick NYG...
NYG - 10.5

CIN (-6.5) @ CLE
Cincy was lucky a good team in Pitt didnt close the door last week, where they could of been down 20+ points in the first half.. Instead it was 10 and they took advantage.. I dont think they are going to get too far.. but they should be able to handle CLE who i think is the worst team in the league..
CIN - 6.5

BUF (2.5) @ MIA
Wow, favored on the road at the home of a division rival.. I guess Henne is starting? This game may have more run plays ran than that of the South Lions circa early 00's.... We may also see a hell of a lot of the wildcat with the starting QB out,, Bonus for me having R Brown in fantasy but when it comes to the real shit, the Bills should be knowing that and preparing all week.. Ok i will take my favorite local team..
Buff -2.5

NYJ @ NO (-6.5)
This is pretty tough game.. I am just not sure if the Jets can hang with this offence.. After being some what shut down in the wind at Buff, i think they turn around and put some points back on the board.. In a pick mostly because i like the saints and dislike the jets..
NO -6.5

DAL (-3.5) @ DEN
Dallas gets it done.
DAL -3.5

STL @ SF (9.5)
I could not give two shits about this game... I dont know what to think about it... STL actually looked half decent last week with S JACK and Boller coming in.. SF without gore.. This is a flip em for me, but if i do.. i will be checking off STL to keep it close on the sheets
STL + 9,5

SD @ PIT (-6.5)
I swear pitt is so hard to bet on.. No wonder i always loose with them.. A team coming off back to back loses has what most people had as a super bowl team coming to town and favored by a TD.... If you are going to use any of these to bet with, i am warning you now, I AM PICKING PITT EVERY WEEK... i do think Pitt comes back this week to prove they are ready to go again... Coach Tomlin will get these boys going again... SD aint shitt....
PIT -6.5

GB @ MIN (3.5)
Favre's old team is in town, this could be a great Monday Nighter.. That play to win it for Minny was unreals last week... I look for this to be a tight divisional battle and if it took Minny a last second miraculous win last week, i will take GB to at least take it to the wire..
GB +3.5

Well, that took a little longer than i thought it would... I am not as confident with my inner feelings this week as i was with some of the picks in the first couple weeks.. I have been doing one 4 game, 20$ ticket each week, along with other smaller tickets of course.. But i try to put my 4 strongest feelings on one ticket.. this week it will be...

NYG -10.5
DAL -3.5
STL +9.5
GB +3.5 ( always fun to have MNF decide a ticket)

Till then........

Off to UNB for alumni weekend

As you may or may not know, my father passed away earlier this year... In his day he was one hell of an athlete in all sports, but used his passion the most when it came to soccer... When it was time he decided to leave Quebec, where he grew up to attend the University of New Brunswick.... In his years there he accomplished more than most.. His UNB team won a couple Canadian University Championships, him being the goalie, as well as him bringing in the Canadian Male athlete of the year.... More than enough to brag about, but that just wasnt the kind of guy he was.. Actually it wasnt until after his death that i learned he actually had been asked to try out for the Canadian olympic team.....
Since his death, that has been one of the hardest things for me, I feel there was soo much we didnt express to eachother.. dont get me wrong we had a great relationship, but it was one where.. he knew i loved him, and i knew he loved me.. .. After his passing a lot of his former team mates came down to show their respects and it was then that i learned sooo much about him.. about their soccer teams and just his life.. the kind of guy he was back then... it really just made me wish i had more time to sit down with him and just talk.. talk about his life, talk about our life..
Every year around this time my parents would talk about one year making the trip back out east to see everyone, the old team mates, the campus... but it was always put off.. mostly due to the fact my dad wasnt much of a travler, well he didnt so much mind the idea of travelling but only if it was somewhere we could bring our two dogs along... wouldnt be fair to leave them home... what a guy!!!
Unfortunately his time came before we ever got to go back as a family... Well we are going, mum sis and I, he may not be coming along but he will definitely be there with us...
UNB is going to be doing something special before their mens soccer game on Saturday, and earlier that morning i myself am going to fill his roll and play between the posts for the alumni team, behind all his former team mates..

Its going to be a jam packed weekend, full of activities, events and emotions.... But it is one i wouldnt miss for the world....

I love you so much dad, i miss you, i am so sorry i didnt take the time to ask sooo much more, but when i see you again we will make sure we dont miss a thing!!!!!

R.I.P scruffs..

See you when i get there..!

givin it a try...

Well here i am, i am going to give the blog world a try... With a couple of my good friends no longer in the city and living life during different hours... this is a easy way for me to let out what exciting news i have to pass on or use it as an easy to let out whats on my mind.... but all in all it gives us and you, if you wish, a way to keep in touch to keep up to date with eachother....

Before i really do get going, i want you to stop reading right now if you are one that cannot stand incorrect sentences, grammar or anything else you learn in english class.. Yes i took english 8 or 9 times in highschool... Believe it or not, this did NOT, i repeat, did NOT help me become Mr. Dub Shakespeare.... If tihs deos not matetr to you tehn you will be jsut fnie ( as you just figured out it has been proven that the human brain can read with out stopping to figure out most words as long as the first and the last letter remain in the same place).

Ok, since this is the first, of hopefully many i will start off by letting you know a little about myself and give you an idea as to what i will usually end up talking, or should i say blogging, about...
My name, Keith Andrew Harding, with different people referring to me as different things including: DJ Keith, Lebron, Xander, Kay-A ( ok i gave myself a nickname, get off my back), big papi, Big Boy, Oh My God, Adrian Peterson is known as All Day, me, All Night..... If you have never heard of me referred to as any of these, you are more than welcome to start the trend.. remember be a leader not a follower.... Now that you know my name(s), I love sports, poker, music, ladies, certain tv shows, some movies, and most of all just living life...these are the kind of things you will most likely be reading about if you decide too..

Well, Ted and Rich, because you are almost positively going to be the only two that read this, how the heck are ya? hahha..

With Football season just getting under way I think i will take the time now to talk about the opening week.. Well as you know i Love the steelers.. week one started off well for us.. winning a tight game is what we do.. I often find myself in arguements that Big Ben really is a top QB in the league.. I will agree with anyone that will say his numbers dont proove this... now lets clarify things, are we talking most yards, most touch downs, most fantasy points?? Ok you win, but if you want to check out some other numbers like his .700 winning percentage in his first 6 seasons.. 2 superbowl championships in those 6 seasons as well.. how about 3 perfect qb ratings in that time as well... Most of all he is a winner, if you remember that last minute drive to win the superbowl last year.. that was not the first time he has lead his team to a victory in the 4th or O.T... how about it being only one of the 20 times he has done that in his career including week one against Tennessee this year... He wins Games.. isnt that what you want.. You can take your Cutlers, Rivers, Manning eli that is,pamler, even that dude down in NO who may just break every record there is this year.. Behind maybe only P Manning, and T Brady Ill take Big Ben and watching Brady this monday night, ill talk more about that later, Brady may not be the same guy he once was.. Where am i going with this, i dont know.. I love the Steelers and we are 1-0...
Back to week one.. Week one is hard one to bet, but doesnt mean i wont be all over it.. I went to the local gas station to pick up some proline.. got 3 tickets, 1 with 4 games 20$, 1 with 5 games 10$ and the big boy, 1o games 5$... I went over to a buddies for a afternoon of games, laptops on every lap watching fantasy scores...
To keep a long story short, i got one game wrong all sunday, i had taken cincy minus the points after someone, beau, has been hyping them up all off season.. after cincy looks like garbage and beaus fantasy teams struggling to get 50 fantasy points i think i will keep to my own opionion.. any who the one 4 gamer was done.. but i still had the 5 gamer and the 10 gamer as you can get 9 out of 10 to win 20x your bet... Going into the bills game monday night i needed NE -12 for 300, not as big as it would of been if cincy had pulled it out, would of then been watching the monday nighter for 2400... anywho, 3oo was more than enough to be excited about especially for the opening weekend.. i had already won in my mind, planning how i could now up the antes for week two and a great start to the year.... Well i think we know how the game went... NE's play calling was the worst i have ever seen, often running the ball on 3rd and 4+... not the NE i was expecting, maybe they are going to miss McDaniels... By the start of the 4th Q i had given up on the idea of winning money, and actually was able to become excited that Bills may pull of a huge win, as the bills are one of the teams i do like to see well..... To rub it in as deep as they could mr brady decides to steal the game away in the last 5 mins.. overall shitty night....
With that being said i did earn 1 point in a different league, so i cant say the night was a waste....

Wow.. i am not sure about you, but i am tired from this hahha.. i have sat here for at least an hour doing this, i have not read it over and i am not going to.. With that said i will leave it at that, because i know i have just had verbal diarreha all over the page.. I will work on the structure next time and hopefully i can get to this more often that not..

for now i am out like Cam Stewart after a choke from Bas Rutten
